I am having trouble

Through the complexities of life, I have underplanned my trip. We are leaving in just 2 days to Nice; I have a hotel there, and a one way ticket for 3 on the train from Paris to Amsterdam, where I have a friend. I tried booking other trains from Eurorail, but all the trains were full using the Benolux ticket (so I didn't purchase it). How do you think I should get up to Paris, and back from Amsterdam to Nice, which is where our return flight is? The entire trip is 18 days long. I would appreciate any advice, cause I am anxious!

Unfortunately, underplanning may cost you a bit. What day and time do you need to travel from Nice to Paris? I assume that all three of you are traveling. What type of railpass do you have? You mentioned the Benelux pass. I don't think this has anything to do with travel in France. Please clarify.

Relax, there is always a way to get around, many go without any tickets prepurchased. Nice/Paris is a pretty common run, and while Eurorail is convienient, you really only see a limited number of tickets and routes. On your first day in Nice, book your tickets to Paris at the train station, it will be a few days ahead, and the cost will probably be less than through Eurorail. As for your return from Amsterdam, if you allow a few days, take slower, cheaper trains, maybe doing an overnight in the Rhine/Mosel valley or further into France. Just explore and cherish the lack of planning rather than being anxious.
