My distributor in the UK recommended that I take the ferry from Rotterdam to Hull when I finished my business in Rotterdam--however, how do I get to Manchester? Bus or train?

Searching on www.nationalrail.co.uk finds that on weekdays you can do it by through train in about two hours, leaving Hull station at 38 minutes past each hour. I'm in the UK, but I'm told that www.eastcoast.co.uk is a site that will usually accept US credit cards for online ticket sales - you will probably get a big discount if you book in advance.
Try to do it in daytime if you can as the route will go through some pleasant scenery.
