How to travel from Tarifa to Portugal

Once we cross the ferry from Tangier, Morroco to Tarifa, Spain we would like to Portugal. After searching, I cannot find buses or trains from Tarifa to Seville, which seems the logical way to then make our way to Portugal. Do we need to rent a car?
