How to travel from Paris to Zurich by Train

I am from India & shall be travelling to Paris in April. From Paris will be travelling to Zurich. I want to know if there is a direct train to Zurich city from Paris. If yes, please share with me the station codes or name for both the ends. I am confused as getting too many station options online while booking trains online. Kindly assist. Regards Joyeeta

There is a daily direct high-speed TGV, leaving Paris Gare de Lyon at 10.23, arriving at Zürich HB at 14.26.

There are, in fact, 5 direct trains every day from Gare de Lyon. 7:23, 10:23, 12:23, 16:23 and 18:23. All take 4 hours and 3 minutes to get to Zurich Hbf.

The company operating these trains is "TGV-Lyria", their website is here: https://www.tgv-lyria.com/en
The current timetable is here: https://www.tgv-lyria.com/sites/default/files/pdf/BROCHURES_CO/lyria-timetable-10.12.17_06.07.18.pdf
I count 6 departures a day from April: 07:23, 10:23. 12:23, 14:23, 16:23 and 18:23. Not sure where you are looking online, but you can buy tickets direct on this site, or on the SBB (Swiss Railways) site. You do not need to know the station names, just enter "Paris" and "Zürich" and it will find the correct stations (actually "Paris Gare de Lyon" and "Zürich HB"). Station codes are not normally used in Europe.

Where is your final destination? Is it actually Zürich or somewhere else in Switzerland?
If it is somewhere else, going via Zürich may not be the best option. You then need to go to the Swiss Railways website: https://www.sbb.ch/en and do a query from Paris to wherever you actually want to go in Switzerland.
