I would like to take the train from Ronda to Barcelona. I'm having trouble finding this on either Renfe or Rail Europe. Does anyone have experience in this? I know I can take the train to Madrid and then probably get a separate ticket to Barcelona, but is that the best route? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

The train Ronda-Madrid-Barcelona runs about 140 Euros from what i can tell. I found an alternate route, so was looking for feedback. We can take the train Ronda-Malaga for 11E and fly RyanAir from Malaga to BCN for 33E. Thoughts? Anything better? We need cheap.

The second option sounds a lot better. Spain's high speed trains run in kind of a C pattern. Barcelona to Madrid, Madrid to Seville, and Seville to Granada with a few short legs off of those. There are other trains but nothing that is fast or inexpensive. The only other option would be a bus, which probably gets you there cheapest. It's most likely faster than a train, but not a flight.
