We will end our cruise in Harwich on May 27. Any suggestions on the most convenient way for 5 ladies to get to Amsterdam. Thanks in advance for any help. Nancy

There are daytime and overnight ferries (Dutch Flyer)from Harwich to Hoek, Netherlands, from there short train journey to Amsterdam via Rotterdam. More details here: http://www.seat61.com/Netherlands.htm
We took it in May of this year and it and the rooms were a treat! Go to www.seat61.com for all the details. Am not sure, however, believe the trip to Hoek is a day sail not a night sail as it is from the NL. Suggest you pre pay for the food when you get your tickets as it is pretty pricey once on board.
"...believe the trip to Hoek is a day sail not a night sail as it is from the NL..." The ferry operator now has two new ships doing this route. One ship does the daytime crossing back and forth, the other ship does overnight back and forth.
See Michael's comments...I've taken the ferry from Harwich to Amsterdam( overnight)...nice ferry, comfortable accommodations...arrive Hoek van Holland and then jump on the train to Amsterdam( train stops right at the ferry terminal), about an hour...easy and convenient...
