I am trying to figure out how to get from Brussels to Strasbourg via train. Do I go through Paris or perhaps Luxembourg? Where can I find this info? Traveling this May.
Many Thanks
In 1990 I went from Brussels to Strasbourg, direct, and the route went through Luxembourg and Metz, France. I'm not sure that would be the route today, but it's the most direct. I'll check with the Bahn website.
With the highspeed trains that didn't exist back then, today you can connect through Paris on TGVs almost a fast as the more direct, no change route through Luxumbourg, but it looks like the fastest, easiest connection, depending on departure station, is still a direct IC through Luxembourg and Metz.
Surprisingly, the fastest way is TGV to CDG Paris airport and change to TGV to Strasbourg.

Uncheck the "Direct Trains Only" box and use "France" as the ticket collection country.
You can still use the old route via Luxembourg and Metz as well. I think it's more scenic than the TGV route, especially in southern Belgium as it goes through the Ardennes.
Thank you for all your info, I will look into this over the weekend and probably have more questions. Phillip, which train would I use to go the way u suggested?
There is a direct train from Brussels Central at 7:37 (it stops at other Brussels stations as well) goes the route through Luxembourg and Metz, and another at 13:13. There are other trains with changes at Lux & Metz.
