I am traveling from South Africa and landing at Heathrow terminal 5, how can i get a showewr before driving off?

There are showers at Terminal 1, I believe. Check www.heathrow.com to find out which terminal for sure. There is also a Yotel at Heathrow but it requires a minimum booking of four hours, I think.

Yes there are showers at T1 at Heathrow.
To the very best of my knowledge they are for Star Alliance frequent flyer card holders only.

What airline are you traveling? Check with them, or their website, to see what's available.
I usually fly American 'cross the pond to T3. They have an arrivals lounge that is free to FC and BC pax and offers showers, breakfast, internet connection, suit pressing.....they charge $50 US for economy pax to use it.

Hmm, I just checked the Heathrow website and it says showers are available in Terminals 1, 2, and 4. I didn't click through to see the details of each, but the T2 showers are definitely public, since it shows a price and what is included.
