How to Figure Days/Nights Used on Eurrail Pass

Please help! OK, if I have a fifteen day, consecutive, Eurrail pass, can I do this:

Day 1: validate pass at 9 am; take first train out
Day 15: take final night train after 7 pm

Or can I only take a day train on day 15 as the pass will expire before night train completes?

Here is a quote from the railpasses section on this site: "All rides must be started and completed within the validity period of the pass and the 7 p.m. rule does not apply to consecutive-day passes." Here is the page: www.ricksteves.com/rail/usepass.htm.
