How to deal with public strikes in Barcelona?

We are going to Barcelona next month and want to see the Sagrada Familia, but understand that is where the public strikes take place. Any advice on how to navigate around that situation?

I think you may be confusing some of the terminology, a strike is a refusal to work by a body of employees, it does not involve any physical blocking. There can be a general strike when the majority of shops and restaurants will close, but these do not affect the main tourist attractions. There is also transportation strikes which public transport is partially shutdown, but this only affects about half of public transport, you can always take a taxi. These types of strikes are rare and I don't think you will need to worry about them next month.

I think you may be referring to manifestation actions? In that case you may see some blockading, but la Sagrada Familia is hardly ever a target, besides there is a very low probability there will be any manifestations next month, now that the political situation has mellowed out significantly. I would not worry about this.
