Been a Niners fan since the Y.A. Tittle days.
A family member played for the Rams when Roman Gabriel was the QB.
Been living in LA for decades.

They flew all the way to Australia the DAY BEFORE the game?! How stupid is that? Does it count as a "real" game or was it just an exhibition? If the latter, maybe I could understand not going early. Even so...

There are some fun documentaries available streaming about the logistics to do these overseas NFL games, starting with the first one in London in 2007. They bring their own everything so as to be at their best (including the TP!). Guess LA forgot to pack their time machine.

Oh and as yearly visitor to Europe from the late great state of California I will say jet lag is real.
I fly overnight leaving LAX around 4pm and arrive at Heathrow around noon.
Once I’ve checked into my accomodation and unpacked I’ll stroll around my neighborhood noting where a market, a spot for coffee and the nearest train or bus stop is located. I get some food ( depending on my mood, either sit down to eat or get a take away.). I only stay at places that have microwaves in the rooms. I’ll also buy a large bottle of still water and some snacks. Back to the room and do everything I can to be asleep by 10pm.
Works for me in adjusting to the time change.

Would the New York Jets somehow have an edge on jet lag, being Jets and all?

Apparently most of us on this forum are smarter than McVay/the Rams office about one thing. It doesn't matter that it's a private flight from CA with room to sleep-the flight to Australia would still be brutal.
