How much time before departure to arrive at BCN?

We are flying over to Mallorca for a day and are curious how early in advance of our flight time to arrive to the airport. I've heard anything from 1 - 3 hours and for a quick day trip, would love to have a better idea.

It depends on the individual airlines, however for a intra-EU Schengen flight, 1 hr to 1.5 hr is sufficient.
