We are going to Capri via Sorrento next week and will then take the ferry back to Naples to catch the train to Rome. I would like to make reservations for the train but can't seem to find out how long the non-hydrofoil (slower) ferry ride is to the ferry port at Naples. Also, is it possible to walk to the train station from the port? Thanks so much!
Weather could affect the schedule for the slower ferry. The station is really too far to walk and the area around the station is seedy even for Naples. There is both a tram and bus to the station. The ticket both is right at the port so catch either one. I would not worry about advance reservations. Just catch next train after you get there.
