How early do I need to be at Gatwick for a flight to Venice?

I have searched the forums extensively, but I have only found info about connections at Gatwick or transatlantic flights.
Our BA flight is at 12:50 on a Saturday. We'll be checking in and doing our seat selection online the day before. We are staying near Regents Park. I am figuring on leaving the Tube station around 9:30. It's about 20 minutes to get from Great Portland Tube stop to Victoria Station. I am allowing about 15-20 min. to print out our Southern e-tickets (online special fare) and find that platform. That 10:32 train runs about 30 min. or so. Then there is the transfer from S terminal to N terminal. I'm allowing 20 minutes for that. That's roughly an hour and three quarters. We should be ready for bag check (just one small bag) and security at 11:20 (an hour and a half before our flight) Have I left enough time for potential problems? I don't mind leaving earlier to be safe, but I'd prefer not to make my kids sit around any longer than necessary.
Thanks.

I did that flight a few years ago with BA. Two hours was a good amount of time. There was a big line at Gatwick but it moved fairly quick. I always try for at least that amount of time.

This would be enough time for me, but haven't tried it with kids ...

One caution. Make sure that there are no engineering works scheduled for the day you leave (on tube). Check tfl.gov.uk in advance. Engineering works are often scheduled on weekends. Personally, I might splurge for a taxi to Victoria on a Saturday since there are several of you.

You need to be at Gatwick a full 2 hours before your flight time. That's the standard for any flights from the UK to anywhere in Europe.
