My wife and I plan to spend a week in Barcelona in September and are looking for hotel suggestions in the city. We would like to stay at a 3 star hotel ($240-290 range).

You can't beat the Hotel Colon for location, history, service, rooms, views and price. If you haven't already done so, check out tripadvisor:

Check out the Five Rooms Hotel. I believe its a B+B
