I am looking for a reasonable hotel for 4 in room near airport in Frankfurt. Will be returning car there and leaving next day after three week tour. PRobably too tired to go into Frankfurt. Any help is appreciated.

Frankfurt is only 11 min. by train from the airport. Hotels near the airport are always a lot more expensive and you end up out in the boonies. It sometimes takes more time to get to them from the airport (unless you are staying at the Sheraton) then it would take you to get into the city.
Besides, not seeing Frankfurt, which is one of Germanys' most historic and important cities would be a shame. It is very easy to walk around in and you can easily find a hotel to suit your needs.

Jo's suggestion is a great one. A few years ago, I stayed at Manhattan Hotel about a block from the main train station and it was very easy to get back and forth to the airport on one of the frequent trains. The hotel was nice and cost around 100 euro per night at the time. Website is www.manhattan-hotel.com.

We booked the hotel right in the airport I believe it's called the Steignberer Hotel or something close to that spelling (sorry) it for 99.00 euro special rate, regular 199.00.

What is your budget? When I know that, I can recommend hotels to fit it. Also your date of departure, to see if your stay here coincides with any big trade fairs. It is easy to get a decent hotel in the city for 75 euro a night, for a double. This would include breakfast, free wi-fi, free mini-bar, etc.
