Any advice on a D-Day tour from Bayeux. We are looking at the package from Hotel Bayeux that includes 5 hour tour, one night stay, dinner, breakfast all for 129 euros. We are thinking of staying an extra day and stopping at Caen Memorial too, but what do we do with OUR LUGGAGE???? Hmmm...any advice!!!

Cindi, I don't have any information on the D-Day tour from Hotel Le Bayeux, so can't offer any comments. The quality of the tour will most likely depend on the Guide they're using. As an alternative, you could also consider just booking a Hotel and then take one of the other excellent tours in that area. They're normally a full day tour, although at least one firm offers half-day tours. Have a look at the websites for: www.ddayhistorian.com www.daleboothnormandytours.com www.overlordtour.com www.ddaybattletours.com/elldi.php The above tours will probably be more expensive than the one offered by the Hotel, but they are outstanding! Your Hotel in Bayeux should be willing to store your luggage for the day while you take the tour. When you get back, pick up your luggage and take the train to your next destination. Happy travels!
