I'm planning to take the train from Venice to San Benedetto del Toronto in aug this year how long of a transfer wait in bologna and is it far of a walk to transfer as my father who is 89 will be with me is there an easier travel route should I rent a car is it expensive]

Hi Benita. The train should work fine. Use trenitalia.com to see the schedules, there are some with only one connection in Bologna. If For Venice use Italian spelling Venezia. Enjoy your trip!
