I would like information on hiring a driver in Rapallo to drive us to Avignon. We checked on renting a car and driving a rental for one day is over eleven hundred dallors with the drop off fee. I would appreciate any information you might have. Thank you

If you don't want to drive, have you considered the train? It's far! You're not doing this as a day trip, you want to go to Avignon after Rapallo? I can't imagine a privte car and driver would be cheap.

Shirley, that's astonishing. I hope you can find a solution that is better than that for you.
How committed are you to Rappello-Provence? Could you remix your itinerary (order of destinations, or even rethinking destinations) for a satisfying trip? Would you consider breaking your trip to Provence for a night?
If you can get to the French border I think you can arrange a rental on more-reasonable terms, with no drop-off fee.

We have checked the train schedule and it takes 9 hours and there are no morning trains. We would rather not arrive late at night. We are going to check driving to the French border turning the car in and renting a car in France and complete our trip.
