We'd like to avoid taking the bus or train from the GLA airport to our Edinburgh hotel on our trip this June. Has anyone taken a taxi or hired a driver? What company did you use? How much did it cost? Thanks!

I have no experience with this company, but a quick search and online quote request from Glasgow airport to Edinburgh castle starts at 99€.

Thanks for your reply, Travel4fun. I did find that site and the fares are not too bad! However, Onward Travel Solutions Ltd operates that taxi service and the reviews for them are pretty bad, horrible actually. That's why I'm asking here. Maybe some knowledgeable RS folks have their own experiences to share either with this company or another.
After posting I checked Uber and the fares are just slightly higher than with Onward. From what I saw, advanced bookings aren't available for that route though. Makes me a little nervous not having something scheduled but we could wing it. Maybe someone will chime in with experiences Ubering from Glasgow to Edinburgh...

Thank you, David, for the links. The first one didn't work for me but when copy/pasting I ended up finding a company called Scottish Transfers. They are a little pricier than an Uber but they seem to have better reviews so a good option. Appreciate it!

we are just back from a tour of scotland and we flew into glasgow airport at first but returned home from edinburgh airport. The taxi service we used when we were they was https://www.airportcitytransfers.co.uk/glasgow-airport-taxi/
