High Speed Rail from Rome Termini to Venice

I just looked all over the web for train time tables from Rome to Venice. For September 27th, it looks like the only train available is a slower 5 hour train from 7pm arriving in Venice at 1am? Yikes! But then I looked at other websites and thought I saw multiple high speed trains leaving Rome and arriving in Venice for a 3 hour travel time. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

William, As Lola mentioned, the schedules for September haven't been posted yet, so just research a trip on the same day of the week. There are departures from Roma Termini to Venezia Santa Lucia about every hour, so even if the schedule changes by a few minutes, it won't really affect your travel plans. The travel time is ~3H:48M and reservations are compulsory. Your Car No. (Carrozza) and Seat No. (Posti) will be specified on the ticket. Have a look at Which rail sites "all over the web" were you looking at?? Happy travels!

The schedules for September will not be available until mid-June. But it will not change much from the current schedule, so you can look at the same day of the week anytime this month or next. There will indeed be many Es train running, with frequent departures to choose from.

The web site is trenitalia. You may not be able to pull up a schedule for that date or purchase. The site does give overall special offers which is 2 for 1 Saturdays or mini fare which is a 60% discount. I purchased my Rome to Venice on line last July for travel in August and printed my tickets out at home. I think we had a few stops, maybe 2. I believe we left Rome around noon and in Venice by 4pm.
