I am trying to get the Hertz Program Code (IT) so I can book my automatic cars with them. EuroRail is pretty much "worthless" - cant get a live person when you call and the Chat room Rep is clueless and rude when I used this features. Can anyone help with this topic?
I found an old 2007 document on this topic thru an archive search but I am not sure if this is still good. Thank you.

Are you trying to call RailEurope or Eurorailways? They are different companies, and have different prices on the Rail & Drive packages. The 3+2 for 2 adults in 1st class is $900 from Eurorailways and $852 with RailEurope for a car with AT. Neither one appears to require a special code from Hertz to book the automatic. Second question-are you sure you want a pass for this travel? Have you priced the price of your train travel and the car rental from Hertz separately? Not on RailEurope, on Renfe. From Madrid to Sevilla, for example, RailEurope charges $127 iin 2d class. The price on Renfe is 87 euros full fare, which is comparable. But by buying tickets on acvance on Renfe (not easy but I can be done, as we bought many), you can get an Estrella fare of 50 euros or a Web fare of 47 euros.
