Does anyone have any experience with returning a car to the Hertz location near the Borghese in Rome? My husband and I will be traveling from Orvieto. We originally were going to drop off the car in Orvieto and take the train to Rome but the Hertz hours/train schedulees are not convenient for our plans. We are staying at the Hotel Golden in Rome which is near the Borghese so this seemed a more convenient drop off than the airport. If I remember correctly the Borghese is not in the center of the city so I was thinking dropping the car here would not be to much of a problem. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks Steve, we are planning to bring a GPS. We will mainly be driving in Tuscany.

The rental car office doesn't have to be open for you to drop your car in Orvieto. They have key drops.

Yes I believe I agree with you Bob. I guess I will just go ahead and change my drop-off to Orvieto and hope they have a drop box.

I sent an Hertz an email regarding a key drop at Orvieto and they have not yet responded. The website claims that some locations have them and some do not.

Debbie, avoid the Borghese area with a car. You ARE very much in the city in that area and driving is best as a spectator sport.
