Helsinki to Stockholm

Appears to be an overnight crossing which takes about 17 hours and is quite pricey. Also seems to be a "jet boat" which takes a couple of hours for about $50 apiece. The website is www.afery.co.uk. Has anyone dealt with them? Any comments on making that choice? Any comments on dealing with the above website?

The Helsinki to Stockholm ferry crossing is one of the most scenic boat trips in the world. It's one of my most memorable trips in all of Europe, I highly recommend it. But its more scenic going from Stockholm to Helsinki; going in the other direction you will be sleeping through archipelago outside of Stockholm. Unless its something new, I'm not aware of any jet boat service between these cities and I doubt a jet boat could do it in 2 hours???

David, are you sure the jet boat is between Helsinki and Stockholm? There is a 2 hour boat between Helsinki and Tallinn.

For travel between Stockholm and Helsinki, I'd suggest that you deal directly with one of the companies that travels this route (Silja or Viking Line) www.tallinksilja.com/en/ or www.vikingline.fi

Thank you both. Yes, the jet boat goes to Tallinn rather than Stockholm.
