Hello, We want to take Eurostar from Venice to Florence on July 9 morning. When I put Venice and Florence in the ticket booking, I get an error message in Italian "data non valida". please help.
Rushme, Using the site in Italian, I had no difficulty getting information on the trains for July 9, or getting to the booking page. Did you enter Venezia Santa Lucia and Firenze as the origin and destination? On that particular route, there are numerous trains every day, so it's shouldn't be necessary to pre-book. You could easily purchase your ticket a day or so prior to travel and still qualify for the discounted Mini fares. Happy travels!
thanks for your help. I entered Venezia and Firenze and it worked. Thanks a lot!
We want to take the train from Florence to Termini Rome on July 11.
It will be from Firenze and what destination should I enter on the website? Termini Rome is not being accepted. Thanks!
The Trenitalia site will accept either Roma or Roma Termini as your arrival station.
Trenitalia is quite dumb with non-Italian city names. It will not recognize Naples, Rome, Florence, Milan, Turin, Venice, Genoa, Trent etc.
Roma Termini worked! thanks a lot!
Hi all. Am I misunderstanding what is being said / asked here? If you just click the English button, it will accept English city names - Florence, Rome, etc. ...and any messages you get will be in English rather than Italian. :)
I'm with you, Bob! Unless I'm trying 'Rome Fiumicino' - then it wants 'RomA'. but, 'RomE Termini' is just fine...Hmmm...As is 'Florence', 'Milan', 'Naples', etc. FWIW - Deutsche Bahn doesn't like 'Venice' in English; it demands 'Venezia'...Hmmm, Part Zwei.
