Help with train from Siena, question?

Looking at the train schedule on loco2 for transport from Siena to Naples 10-30-2018.
They list a run that takes an extra hour, and at half the going fare, with one stop at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme, then to Naples.

The first transport is stated to be BUS #F1205. Is this a bus or a train?

The second is with InterCity#583. Assuming this is a train?

Any feedback would be helpful.

Wondering if the half fare is worth the additional hour, and if this may give us nice views along the way?

Thanks.

Yep a BUS is a bus. And an InterCity is an Intercity train. One step up from a Regionale train. Personally I don't think you get a lot of great views from any train so that criteria is low on my list. I would weigh the euro saved against the extra hour. For us we probably would opt for the euro savings but we almost never are in a hurry.

The Super Economy fare on that route is only 9.90 Euro but understand that once purchase there is NO exchange or refund. The SE fare on faster routes is 35 euro. That is a big savings for an extra hour or so. But you need to buy the SE soon since those fares sell out quickly.
