Help with Route: Munich-Switz(Chur-Zermatt: Glacier Express)-Venice

My wife and I will be touring Europe this June. We need help determining a train route from Munich to the Swiss Alps. We'd like to take the Glacier Express from Chur to Zermatt (or Zermatt to Chur) Spend a few days in the alps, then Continue our trip into Italy starting in Venice. Any advice is greatly appreciated! =)

A thought. Munich->Interlaken Ost. Interlaken Ost->Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Wengen. You can get a great deal on www.bahn.de if you buy early. You can get the train specific Europa-Spezial ticket for the Munich->Interlaken Ost part. The rest you can get at the little Interlaken Ost train station. The reason for this suggestion is that you say that you want to stay in the Alps. In the Lauterbrunnen Valley, you will be in a most scenic area of the Alps. Next, early one morning, you take the train to Zermatt via Visp. This is a 2hr15min journey with 2 train changes. Catch the only Glacier Express run of the day with no train changes. Take the GE to St. Moritz and not Chur. It departs Zermatt at 10:00am so you need to leave the Lauterbrunnen area a bit early. Buy snacks to take on board as the journey is almost 6.0hrs. You can buy food on board but it's a bit expensive. Stay the night in St. Moritz. In the morning, catch the Bernina Express to Tirano. The BE departs St. Moritz at 14:45 and the journey is about 2.5hrs. From Tirano, take the train to Venice. It's a really long way to get from Munich to Venice but you seem to have the time and you seem to want the scenic train. Sounds great.
