Help with Copenhagen to Kalmar Sweden train options....

The timetables at www.bahn.de show a trip of around four hours with a minimum of one change in Alvesta. Click on the drop-down flag menu for English. Enter Koebenhavn as your departure point and Kalmar as your arrival point. After you get summary timetables, click on "Show details for all" to see the connecting points.

I couldn't get fares on the Danish Rail site, but I did on the Swedish Rail site. The 2nd class fare is 345 SEK ($38 US).

There are actually direct trains from Copenhagen (and also directly from Copenhagen airport) to Kalmar as some of the trains from Copenhagen Central station to Malmö continue to Kalmar. These train are leaving Copenhagen Central station at 7.03, 10.03, 9.03 (Only Sundays), 10.03 (only Monday to Friday), 11.03, 13.03 (only Monday to Friday), 14.03, 15.03, 17.03 (except Saturdays), 19.03 and 21.03. These train all leave from Copenhagen Airport at 16 minutes past the hour i.e. 13 minutes after departure from Copenhagen Central station. The trains usually consist of two trainsets, of which only the last one continues to Kalmar as the front trainset is detached in Malmö. Ask the conductor if in doubt.

You can buy tickets at Copenhagen aiport or at the Central station at the international ticket window. At Central station only from 9.30 to 18.00
