So have I figured this out? I am showing on trentitalia that the overnight train departing Florence at 21:53 on Oct 4, to Munich is 105 Euro for a 6 person couchette. Is it really that much? Will the price be the same if I were to wait and buy it in Florence? Or will it go up?

Amanda, unfortunately, it seems that the 105Euro for the Standard fare is all that's available at this time. The site is showing SMART fare (49Euro) and the SMART2 fare (69Euro) but using my ID and password, I checked and both of those limited fares are booked and no longer available.

nite trains tend to sell out early; if you wait to buy it in Florence you might find no sleeping compartments are available.

We have decided we are fine if there are no sleeping accomodations. I am just wondering if the price is likely to be more if we were to purchase it there?
