Hi. I am studying abroad this semester in Prague. Since it is in the center of Europe, I expected that it would be easy for me to get anywhere I want to. My friends and I are sort of on a budget, but at this point are desperate to go ANYWHERE (we can take short four day trips). We are particularly interested in going to Krakow and Auschwitz, but can't find a reasonable flight or train. Please Help!! If anyone can give suggestions where to go and what the best way to get there would be, I would greatly appreciate it!!!!!!
Go to whichbudget.com to see some of the lo cost inter-EU airlines, and their destinations.
Check germanwings.com for cheap flights from Prague to Cologne (party city), Munich, Zurich, Milan, Stockholm, Vienna and Thessaloniki in Greece. Check www.skyeurope.com for cheap flights to Spain, England, the Netherlands, Paris and others...
On Ryanair, you can only fly directly to Dublin from Prague. But if you can take maybe an extra day, or even do it on 4 if flights are right, if you get to London you can go practically anywhere. I didn't check where you can go from Dublin. Ryanair.com You should be able to train pretty easily to Budapest too.
Hey Sarah,
Try Sky Europe - http://booking1.skyeurope.com - to Venice.
I noticed one-way flights on some days for around 60 Euro.
Of course, an overnight couchette to Krakow is about the same, maybe slightly more. Travel and accommodation for a similar price.
Berlin is a 5 hour train trip from Prague.
