Help... round trip Houston-Madrid

I have a round trip Houston, Tx - Madrid, Spain that make a stop in Paris to change planes (AIR FRANCE), I want to start my Europe trip in Paris (instead of Madrid) but to return from Madrid. I was told that if I miss the last section of my flight (Paris-Madrid) AIR FRANCE will CANCEL my return trip.

I have to mention that I will have CARRY ON luggage ONLY. What should I do? I am not looking for any $$$ from the airline I just want to start my trip in PARIS and forget about the last plane from PARIS-MADRID

Thanks in advance

That is the correct answer. The airline do not like people mysteriously disappearing from a flight. Maybe they left a little package behind in the checked luggage. Why didn't you consider an open jaws ticket?

The airlines are very strict on this and they will cancel the rest of your ticket if you don't make the last leg from Paris to Madrid. You have two options:
1. Just head onto Madrid and then take a train/plane back to paris.
2. Try to change your ticket to an open jaw one that does Houston-Paris and returns Madrid-Houston. They will charge you a change fee and the difference in ticket prices.
