We're flying from Vancouver, B.C. to Amsterdam and flying out of Rome mid May. Right now I can get a flight for around $1200 incl. taxes. Is this a deal or not?

Melanie , that sounds like a deal to me, I'd snap it up,, I have to fly open jaw from Vancouver to Rome and back from Paris and I cannot find it cheaper then $1,600- $1,700, not including taxes.
What airline did you find that price on??
I am considering flying Zoom round trip to Paris then just grabbing a cheap inter europeon flight to Rome (I would buy return ticket but only use half) .

Could you be more specific with your dates? Does it matter which day you fly? How long between arrival and departure?
It's hard to adequately answer your question with so little information to work from.

We're flying out May 15th and returning June 2nd. We'd like to stick to those dates although we could leave a day earlier or later. We chose these dates so as not to fly on a weekend.
