I went to book the night train from Munich to Rome today on DB Bahn for the evening of Oct 16th and it's telling me that it's already full. Can this be right? Is there another option for us to get to Rome on this evening?

Try www.citynightline.ch. I found some accommodations on that train available for that date. Cochettes were sold out but sleepers were still available.

Thank you. I did get us 2 tickets, but unfortunately paid twice what I had originally planned.
