My friend and I are traveling from Fussen to Chamonix and we need to get there in one day because we already have reservations. We were originally going to rent a car because the train would take 20+ hrs with the Alps in the way, but it will be roughly $400 each for only 3 days each. I am now trying to find a cheaper way of getting there in one day still and I am trying to find a bus line that would work. But I am not finding anything. Please help me if you can! Thanks!

$400 each for a rental car? That sounds awfully extreme. Have you checked Autoeurope.com?
Where are you going from Chamonix? A rental car drop off in another country can be expensive. I might backtrack up to Mulhouse and get over to Freiburg to drop the car.
In short: Need more info....
According to bahn.de there are rail connections from Füssen to Chamonix that take 10:30hrs (daytime) and require 5 changes. Sounds like a waste of a day to me but at least it's doable. If you can't type Umlauts spell it "Fuessen" or else bahn.de won't find the right place. "ü" and "u" are NOT the same letter.
