HELP!!! Heathrow to London Central Hotel......

Hello Everyone!!

I need your help!! I will be arriving at Terminal 5 (Heathrow) on Dec 26th, and need to get to my hotel in London central(Westminster area). I need something reasonably priced and reliable. I do not want to take the Tube due to luggage hassel. I have no issues with a Shuttle service, but my hotel and all the reviews I have read state that the shuttles are all unreliable and take forever. A car service seems to be way too expensive since it is only myself. Please help. Hard to find reviews on most of the transport services. Silver Shuttle seems to be reasonably priced, but has anyone had experience with them?

Thanks in Advance!!

Warning to people trying to read Jen's question - she has done it as one long stream (cut and paste from another forum?). It has to be scrolled through to the right to see the whole question.

I suggest that you check out Just Airports which is a private car service that gets nothing but positive reviews. Westminster is in postal code SW1. The cash fare for a Saloon (sedan) from Heathrow to anywhere in SW1 is £32.

Jenny,

It would be helpful if you could re-format your question so that it's possible to see all of the text without scrolling.

Regarding your question, the option suggested by Tim is the best and easiest choice, especially after a long international flight. If the cost for that is above your budget, you could also use the Heathrow Express to Paddington and the Tube from there to your hotel, or the Tube (Picadilly Line). Your hotel website will most likely have information on the closest Tube stops.

Happy travels!

A cheaper option than a private car service would be to take a National Express coach (highway bus) from Terminal 5 to Victoria Coach Station and a taxi from there to your hotel. Note, however, that on 26 December (Boxing Day) the coaches don't run as often as they do on "regular" days. Depending upon your departure time, you will either go directly from Terminal 5 to Victoria Coach Station or you will have to make a connection at the Heathrow central bus station at Terminals 1/3.

Note that the Heathrow Express isn't running this year on Boxing Day as a result of engineering work for Crossrail.
