I am flying into Heathrow airport in June at 1615 hrs. I need to get to Bath. I have looked at the National Express bus website and they only have 2 departure times to Bath and neither will work! (One is 1302 and the other is 2305) I thought that there were multiple departures per hour to Bath? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tara
On the National Express site I found Heathrow Central Bus Station to Bath Spa at 17:20 and 19:00.
Take the train from Heathrow to Paddington Station and connect with a train from Paddington to Bath. I did this in 2005.
Thanks for the quick responses! Tim, I looked again on the National Express website and I still do not see the departure times that you listed. I am looking at this page: http://www.nationalexpress.com/bp/b2.cfm?id=117758173
I wonder what I am doing differently?
I am looking into the train options now. Thanks everyone!
There is a bus every hour from Heathrow (non-stop, 2 hour journey) to Bristol Bus Station, from where there is an express bus every 12 minutes to Bath (journey time about 1 hour)
The other alternative is to go by train. You could either go via Paddington or take the Railair bus to Reading and get the train there.
Another option is to take the bus from Heathrow to Reading. Here is the info on the bus :http://www.railair.com/
From Reading, you can continue by train to Bath.
Reading is on the train line between Paddington and Bath, so taking the bus to Reading and switching to train may be faster than going back to Paddington.
