On first leg of our trip we will be staying in Heidelberg, near Alten Brucke, for 3 nights then to Frankfurt for 3 nights. need to know how to get to Zurich by train.

Buy a ticket from Frankfurt to Zurich. You'll have to change trains either in Stuttgart or Basel, depending on what time you leave. Trains run all day, you'll have your choice of departure times.
