I've just discovered the London Airport Shuttle's "Heathrow Shuttle Shared Ride" service, which was started recently. Since it isn't mentioned in the London 2009 book, I wondered if this is a reliable company and service. It seems to be a good compromise between the cost of taking a taxi into Central London, and hauling luggage on the bus or tube. The premise seems to be based on the Super Shuttle van service, which serves many major U.S. airports. Does anyone know anything about this new service in London?
I don't know anything about the specific service you describe, but many people on the Fodor's board recommend Just Airports. There is a discount for paying cash. I pack light so taking the Tube has worked well for me.
I have used the shuttle service once last week! it was great!
I have book it at : http://www.London-airport-shuttle.com but when I wanted to rebook for the return transfer I have found out that they have removed the service from the website .
I have called them , and they told me that the service will be available again very soon so I have booked for the private service which was very good but little expensive for me
