Will need to stay overnight in London and leave the next morning. There are a number of guesthouses in the airport/Hounslow area. I'd like to hear from those who have stayed at one of the places. Double rooms are listed from 55-65 pounds which sounds reasonable. Thanks.

I stayed at Heathrow Lodge (www.heathrowlodge.com) last fall. I had a single room, with shared bath, for about 36 GBP per night. Breakfast is not included, but is available. There is a free shuttle to the airport from there. There is also regular bus service to Slough from where you can catch a train (about 5 min) to Windsor/Eton. There is a pub/restaurant just across the road from the lodge and another pub about a 5 min walk away. It seemed that there was a fairly large parking lot at the lodge. Otherwise, the neighborhood is residential. I plan to return my next trip thru London. Their website gives details for arriving there and for getting to LHR. Their first shuttle run in the morning was at 6 am as I recall. The place was clean, comfortable, but the breakfast room was under construction. It should be finished by now.
