We are flying from LAX to Heathrow on BA with a short connection to Edinburgh. We come into Terminal 5 and leave from Terminal 5 for Edinburgh. Can anyone tell us if the British Airways flights to Edinburgh leave from 5A, 5B, or 5C. Thank You.
BA1438, BA1442, BA1452 left B5.
You can check additional departures at heathrow.com
Use Heathrow Connect for advice on changing planes. You enter date, flight numbers and it will give you exact directions. Of course, look at monitors for current info.
Thank You. What I am trying to determine is what part of terminal 5 do BA flights depart for Edinburgh. Is it 5A 5B or 5C ? the website only says Terninal 5. Thanks in advance for your help.
No idea what flight you are on, but BA 1438 ( LHR-EDI ) , as an example, has been leaving from an "A" gate the past week, per flightaware.com
No one can answer your question because gates change daily. When you arrive at Heathrow follow the flight connections signs (for people staying in the UK.) You will go through immigration--not the main immigration hall but a separate section for those transferring--and then you will go through security. Once through security you wil be in the main terminal (A). Find a monitor and it will display your flight and gate.
This website will give you step by step instructions:
Hard to say because it changes with availability. In May, we took a BA flight from the states into LHR. Originally, I thought, "Eh,5 to 5. How bad could it be?" Be prepared for a trek out of the international terminal to a crowded train through more security to the next terminal. Not fun and the fluids check in security was pretty stringent. Where do you go through immigration?
