Have you flown Turkish Air

I just booked on Turkish air and have 24 hours to decide to keep or cancel. I did my research on them and was Ok with what I read. (Most complaints I read involved individual circumstances.) Just wondered if anyone had any firsthand information. Thanks

Yes, many times (5+). All experiences were positive, and vegetarian meal is great. If you do a search on this website for Turkish Air, you'll undoubtedly see other similar "good" reviews.

We flew Turkish to Istanbul from the East Coast. The aircraft was refurbished and while Economy is never fun, we had a wonderful amenities kit including slippers! We had vegetarian meals that were good and they even passed out some Lokum-Turkish Delight. IFE was pretty standard not great but not awful.

I'd fly them again.

Yes, to and from Istanbul and within Turkey. Excellent service and I would use them again.

I have had several positive experiences, all before the pandemic. Turkish Air has won awards as best airline in Europe over several years. Condé Nast recently named it the 2nd best airline in the world for 2022, only behind Singapore Air. I see that they will be introducing flights from Denver and Detroit to Istanbul during this year.

I appreciate all these reports, and we will keep the tickets. My husband's biggest concern was flying closer to Ukraine and possible problems if the the situation changes there. We will deal with that if and when it happens. (truth is if you consider everything that can possibly go wrongin the next 6 months, we would be too worried to go anywhere. We'll take it one day at a time) The feedback here mirrors the "reviews" I read on other sights. I just know reviews I get here are legit. SoCalTraveler: I appreciate your report too. The savings we are getting by using Turkish Air was fairly substantial, so we will take our chances. I love Icelandair, but was disappointed one trip when my personal monitor did not work and I couldn't watch movies. (They gave me a bar of chocolate and a free beer-my husband loved the beer and agreed to switch seats for part of the trip). Things happen and I am hoping for the best. Thank you to all of you for your quick response. (other responses are still welcome).

Great reputation as being one of the best airlines out there.

Unfortunately they most often route you thru Istanbul's fabulous new airport facility. Sometimes getting back to the U.S. requires an overnight stay in Istanbul.
