Have you flown on Copa Airlines?

Looking at flying to Costa Rica on Copa Air. If anyone has flown with Copa, how was your experience?

I've flown them a couple of times—it was fine. That was pre-pandemic and before the new terminal opened in Panama City. They're a pretty big airline and a full member of StarAlliance.

Flown them a number of times over the years to places like Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and places in Central America. They only use 737s even on long distance flights. This summer flew them between Cali in Colombia and São Paulo in Brazil via their hub in Panama City. Service was ok - nothing to complain about. They will get you to your destination.

My experience has been that they are fairly punctual.

Thank you guys for sharing your experiences! Very informative and encouraging even though I am not flying Copa anytime soon, but who knows maybe sometime in the future.

Flew Copa this summer to Panama City. The new airport is outstanding.

My only complaint with Copa is that the food service is stingy. It feels more like a domestic flight than an international flight. So, pack some snacks. Also, flying back to the US there is secondary screening at the gate that you can't take liquids through. That means you can't take your own drinks on board (we emptied the water bottles we'd just filled). They didn't offer nearly enough of a drink service for me under the circumstances. I wish they'd come through with just water more often.

But I would still fly Copa going to Central and South America in a heartbeat.
