end of may leaving for my 6 week trip to europe.....touring 7 countries....travelling a lot of trains should i be making reservations.we have purchsed a ten day global pass.

You can wait until you get there. Reservations (which will include a small additional fee) are mandatory on the fster premium trains, are available on most intercity trains, and not even available for regional trains. I would tend not to get reservations unles required. Be warned as well, that there may be an upcharge to use your pass on some of the premium trains. Read through the info sent with the passes for details.
