We have an upcoming trip where we need a flight from Edinburgh to Paris. Our options seem to be British Air with a stop in London (total time 4 hours) or thru flybe.com which has a couple direct flights. I have not used this site and I am concerned with the baggage requirements as we have carryon plus small handbag and it looks like they only allow one carryon. We don't like to check bags. Does anyone have any experience?
I've flown flybe recently - typical European budget airline. No frills but fine for a short flight. Be warned that if they say "one carryon" they mean one item, so you'll have to leave enough space in your carryon bag for your handbag.
Full Flybe baggage policy at http://www.flybe.com/baggage/hand-baggage.htm. Note that you can add a second small item of hand luggage if you pay for the highest fare level. Take careful note of the size limits and make sure your carryon fits within them.
We took Easyjet from Paris to Edinburgh then back to Paris last October. We checked bags and had no problems. If they still have that route I would be very happy to fly them again.
