Has anyone used Euro Railways?

Has anyone used Euro Railways, based out of Coral Springs Florida to book overnight rail passage? The few reviews I found were a mixed bag of good and awful. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can get a full fare ticket from Frankfurt to Munich on an ICE for €91 ( $125) online from German Rail and print the pdf files they send you as your ticket. EuroRailways will charge you $203 for the same ticket. That's $171 for Frankfurt to Munich on any train, $14 because it's an ICE, and $18 Handling fee, plus more depending on how you want it shipped. Doesn't that speak for itself? And, of course, with EuroRailways you probably have to book in advance. With advance booking, on the Bahn, you can go from Frankfurt to Munich for €29 ($40). How does $203 compare with $40?

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, it looks as though the sleeper train I wish to reserve tickets on is unavailable for online ticketing through the DB Bahn rail sight. I think I'm going to be stuck using a 2nd party service and paying a premium because navigating the French rail website is way above my brain power.

Well, I'll tell you, before I did anything like that, I'd check in with Euraide at http://www.euraide.com/. If you want good service at a reasonable price, they can deliver it. I'm a first time Europe traveler, but not new to researching/planning trips. This helpline has been SO much help I can't tell you, and they led me to Euraide to help me figure my way out of a transportation mess that I made through my ignorance of rail travel in Europe (in spite of the efforts of the fine people on this helpline :-) Euraide will charge you about $60 total for their help. (including mailing tickets to you) They can help with your itenary, hotels, your train reservations, rail passes (if you choose to get one) and the rail pass will be about $100 CHEAPER than you get via Rick Steves. At least shoot them an email which will get you a phone call...and they can tell you what they can do for you...and that advice is for free. I wish I had started with them. It would have saved me a few bucks and a lot of hassle. Good luck.

This website can help you out, it's a great resource for train travel: www.seat61.com . On booking French trains directly he takes you step by step through the process: http://www.seat61.com/France-trains.htm#How to use voyages-sncf.com People here are a great resource when given enough information to work with. If you need help regarding how to book a sleeper train, for example from Paris to wherever in May, someone here will have that for you. Your inquiry doesn't give much info to go on.

Gail, www.tgv-europe.com is a multi-language SNCF (French rail) site. All fares you'll see there are the same as on www.voyages-sncf.com. You can book up to three months in advance. To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which usually doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence. There are some tickets you can print yourself. Or you can pick them up at any SNCF station or boutique in France.
