Has anyone used Easy Jet recently?

I am trying to plan on getting from mainland Italy to Sardinia. Not an easy task. I do have an option for flying one way from Venice to Olbia for $100.00 including a checked bag and insurance. Can anyone offer advice?

Thank you,

Lorie

Not sure what sort of advice you need, but, yes, I used Easy Jet this May, and I've used them in the past, as well. I like them.

One thing to know about them, like other discount airlines in Europe, is that they are VERY strict about carryon allowances, so make sure you are careful about that. We travel with carryon only, so we usually book the seats near the front for a little more $, which also allows us a larger carryon.

I flew them Amsterdam to Geneva a month ago and several times before that all over They have some unique routes mostly short flights at good prices. They seem to have the best boarding procedures where there is a jet bridge for passengers to board at the back and front doors at the same time and leave and arrive on time. Read and follow their rules like any other airline when you buy a ticket and no problem .

They are my default airline and I use them several times a year. Make sure you follow their baggage criteria. Over the years, I have never had a checked bag delayed or lost and I have had few severe delays.

Thank you all for the encouraging words. I will pursue the Easy Jet option.

Lorie,

EasyJet is my preferred budget airline in Europe, and they've always provided good service. As someone else mentioned, it's prudent to check their rules regardong check-in, luggage, etc. I've found that purchasing some of the options such as Speedy Boarding or whatever, provides more generous luggage limits and a much nicer travel experience.

Buy all your extras on-line in advance. Rates are higher at the gate.
All the European airlines right now seem to be struggling with cancellations and delays for various reasons, sometimes with little warning. easyJet has been consistent and reliable when I used them in the past but has attracted its share of criticism in recent weeks. Be prepared by being flexible and willing to accept that "things happen." Build extra time into your schedule.
