Has anyone flown AeroMexico?

We have a Road Scholar tour booked and the most convenient flight schedule goes from Seattle to Mexico City, non stop. However, Road Scholar says that they can't book AeroMexico (not sure why, but sometimes they get too many complaints and then they won't work with them). So I am debating on booking on my own, but wondering if they are truly an awful airline, I might go elsewhere.
Anyone have any experience or a reviews?

They are totally fine, I would not hesitate to book with them. I got stuck on a multiple leg flight once due to an issue in Mexico City (causing me to miss my last leg) and they put me up for the night in Guadalajara, paid for a taxi and a meal voucher and were generally very nice.

Travel companies like Rhode Scholar have contracts for special pricing with only certain airlines. (Whether the pass the savings on or pocket it varies depending on the company ).

They can’t book AeroMexico only because that is not one of their pre-arranged parters.

Tammy, I’ve always booked my own airfare for Road Scholar trips and didn’t know the company doesn’t book on AeroMexico. I flew AeroMexico nonstop from Austin to Mexico City earlier this year and plan to do so again this coming February. AeroMexico was a little cheaper than the competition, and I was happy all around.

I've flown AeroMexico several times between Seattle and Mexico City, and also to Oaxaca. They're a perfectly good airline. I think the SEA-MEX nonstop is a red-eye though, not a great experience on any flight if you can avoid it.

Returning from Mexico City last winter, we had a 1+ hour delay because of a mechanical issue. We had boarded but couldn't depart. After awhile they took us off and sent us to the next gate, where another plane was ready. Baggage came along too. I didn't like that, but it could have happened anywhere with any airline. They handled it as well as I could have hoped given the situation.

After a few bad experiences with ridiculous routings, I've done my own flight bookings when going on tours. I've had no problems with AM in this regard. Hope you have a great trip. (Get to Oaxaca if you can!)

@Allan-we are signed up for the Road Scholar tour called Best of Central Mexico-Magical towns and Bustling Cities for the micro group on January 18th. Gotta get our warm weather fix!
We decided to book our own air and are flying AeroMexico from Seattle to Mexico City, non stop. I will post my review upon our return. They don't get good reviews online.
