Happy New Year, y’all! I’m holding onto hope for travel in March and May! I, too, appreciate the good advice posters give on this forum.

Thank you Joe32F for starting this thread. And yes, I too am going into 2022 with the glass half full of some delightful Italian wine we will be drinks this April. And a big THANK YOU to everyone here who takes the time to share their travel knowledge, fun stories, scam alerts, restaurant and hotel recommendations, and thought provoking questions. Looking forward to reading some great 2022 trip reports!

I, too, am stubbornly holding on to our travel plans for the New Year in the spring--2 back-to back RS tours. Refundable airfare is booked, too. My husband is skeptical as to whether they happen or not, but we'll go with the flow.

Happy New Year everyone and let's hope we get to fulfill our travel dreams this year. I have so many trips already planned! but my biggest wish is to visit family in the UK. (my last visit was in July of 2019).

"Transportation" is an appropriate forum, especially if we are speaking German.

In German, we wish each other "einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr", which means something like "have a good slide/slip into the new year" (no one really knows where the phrase comes from).
