Best way to travel to these cities and Countries is what I am asking. Two of us starting off in Hamburg and would like to make a Friday to Sunday trip. We have a place to stay in Copenhagen for free so hence the trip up there..Seeing how we would be soo close to Sweeden it would be nice to add another stamp to the passport. Looking for advice in a shoestring budget to get up to Copenhagen and how would you choose to get over to Sweeden. What city would you suggest to visit if just for the day and would you even do it if it was just for the day. Thanks for looking at this post and taking the time to reply.

Shoestring may be hard. You have one advantage, you are returning to Hamburg. Renting a car and returning it in Germany seems to be a significantly cheaper proposition than going the other way. We were in Copenhagen last summer and wanted to visit my wife's cousin in Hamburg. We considered rental car, train, flying open jaw home out of Hamburg or returning to Copenhagen to fly home from there. We couldn't find a decent alternative, everything was hundreds of dollars to essentially drop by for a day. Ultimately we gave up, flew round trip from U.S. to Copenhagen and missed seeing the cousin.
