Has anyone used Hailo in Barcelona and Madrid recently? If so, how do you like it?
I read that there is a 10€ minimum for all rides, so it doesn't make sense for short rides. For longer ones, is it cheaper/the same/more expensive than hailing a taxi off the street?

Hello from Barcelona! Our flight home is delayed so I thought I'd share some useful information:
Contrary to the reply above, Hailo and MyTaxi both work well in Madrid and Barcelona. I think Uber (with private drivers) was banned, and these two apps (using actual taxis) were often suggested as alternatives. We saw many city taxis with the app logos on their cars.
I also found Google Maps is integrated with these apps and Hailo/MyTaxi come up as transportation alternatives, and gives you an ETA if the closest driver, even if you don't have the app installed. On average the wait was about 5 minutes.
